Delete Bucket

Deleting a StorageRaya bucket permanently removes the bucket and all data stored within it.

🚨 This action is irreversible.

Once a bucket is deleted, it cannot be restored under any circumstances.

⚠️ Critical Warning

Bucket deletion is a destructive operation. Before proceeding, ensure you fully understand the impact of this action.

What Will Be Deleted

When a bucket is deleted, CloudRaya will permanently remove:

  • The bucket itself
  • All objects stored inside the bucket
  • All metadata associated with the bucket
  • All access credentials linked to the bucket

There is no recovery window and no backup retention after deletion.

What Will Not Be Deleted

The following resources are not affected:

  • Other StorageRaya buckets in the same project
  • External applications, scripts, or services that reference this bucket

⚠️ However, any external system that depends on this bucket will fail immediately after deletion.

Confirmation Required

To prevent accidental deletion, CloudRaya requires explicit confirmation.

Deletion Steps

  1. Open the bucket detail page
  2. Click Delete Bucket
  3. Review the warning message
  4. Type the exact bucket name into the confirmation field
  5. Click Delete to proceed

Deletion will only proceed if the bucket name matches exactly.

Once confirmed, the bucket is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Best Practices Before Deleting

Before deleting a bucket, CloudRaya strongly recommends that you:

Back up any important data
Verify no active applications depend on the bucket
Confirm access keys are no longer in use
Review automation, scripts, or integrations referencing the bucket
Remove DNS or public links pointing to the bucket (if any)

Deleting a bucket should be a deliberate, final decision, not a troubleshooting step.
