Data Migration Scope

This page defines exactly what is migrated and what is not migrated when upgrading from CloudRaya old panel to CloudRaya New Panel.

Understanding this scope ensures accurate expectations for operations, billing, security, and compliance teams.

Migration Model Overview

The CloudRaya New Panel migration updates your account to the new panel, rather than requiring you to move your data manually.

  • Your active resources and service subscriptions stay in place and keep running
  • Some operational history, reports, and logs will start fresh in new panel
  • Security and access are improved with a project- and user-based model

This approach keeps the platform stable, improves access control, and prepares your environment for future growth.

Data and Services Migrated to New panel

The following data and services are preserved and available immediately after migration:

Compute & Storage

  • Virtual Machines (VMs) — running instances and configurations
  • VM Storage — attached volumes and disk resources
  • StorageRaya (Object Storage) — buckets and objects
  • Container Registry — registries and repositories
  • KubeRaya (Kubernetes as a Service) — clusters and node configurations

Networking & Access

  • IP Addressing — public and private IPs
  • VPCs — virtual private cloud networks
  • VPNs — site-to-site and client connections
  • Load Balancers — configurations and listeners
  • SSH Keys — registered keys for VM access

Account & Projects

  • User Accounts — account access and credentials (password reset required after migration)

Subscriptions & Services

  • SSL Licenses — active subscriptions
  • cPanel Licenses — active subscriptions
  • Acronis — active subscriptions
  • Zimbra — active subscriptions
  • Managed Services — enrolled managed offerings

These resources remain active and operational during and after migration.

Data and Records Not Migrated to New panel

The following data is not carried over to the new platform:

Configuration & Automation

  • VM Schedules — automated start/stop and scheduling rules

Financial & Usage Records

  • Payment History Logs — past payment transactions
  • Top-Up History — historical balance top-ups
  • Credit & Balance Movement History — additions and deductions
  • Monthly Usage Reports — historical consumption summaries
  • Invoices — issued invoices and receipts

Operational Logs & Notifications

  • Action & Activity Logs — historical user and system actions
  • Notifications — prior system and account notifications
  • Platform News — announcements and release notices
  • Technical Update History — past maintenance and technical updates

Usage & Statistics

  • VM Usage Reports — historical compute utilization
  • VPC Statistics — historical network metrics
  • Network Usage Summaries — traffic and bandwidth summaries

Organizational Metadata

  • Legacy Project Tags — deprecated in New panel and replaced by the Project-based model

Why Some Data Is Not Migrated

CloudRaya New Panel introduces:

  • A new billing and credit model
  • A new audit and action logging system
  • A new project and access control architecture

Migrating legacy historical records into these systems would affect data accuracy and reporting consistency.

For compliance and finance purposes, CloudRaya recommends exporting all required reports from old panel before migration.
